Secret Rooms and Hidden Doors

I have noticed a consistently large number of hits at my post on hidden doors a few months back (just check out my Top Posts list to the right), so I decided to share more great resources for hidden doors and secret rooms.

Creative Home Engineering designs, fabricates and installs hidden passageways, doors and secret rooms. Don’t miss their video page, which shows a bunch of neat animations.

Hide A Door is another one.

Per Vivere (To Live) has a great post on how to build a secret bookshelf door.

The New York Times had a very interesting “secret” article back in October.

The 1901 House has a secret room and they didn’t even know it.

BoingBoing reports that hidden rooms are a trend that is on the rise.

    Thanks for the links, I build custom bars and interiors for a living and just recently started blogging about it. I’ve seen some of these hidden doors in some of the homes I’ve worked on and have always been intrigued about the process of building one. The links you provided offer a great source of info for someone like me who wants to build his own and for everyone else thinking of having a secret door installed in their space. Thanks again.
