I’ve Awakened the Kitchen Giants

If you haven’t been keeping up with the skirmish over at The Kitchen Designer blog, be sure to check it out. It’s a great conversation/argument (in a good way) about the interrelationship between residential architects and kitchen designers.

The conversation is also spreading across the blogosphere. See what Peggy Deras, CKD, CID has to say over at Kitchen-Exchange.

Mark, I give you a lot of credit. You’re ok in my book. As I said on my blog, you’ve done what few do. You’ve had the courage to put your thoughts out there on a kitchen designer’s blog no less! I think it’s good to look inward and try to find common ground, to find out what makes the other “tick.” And, what others’ needs are most of all, including the client. I hope we’ll have more discussions of this type!

    Susan:

I welcome the opportunity to have the conversation. The more we talk and understand one another, the better we’ll all be; architect, kitchen designer AND owner.

Thanks again for the invitation and the opportunity to have the conversation with you and your community. I look forward to more.
