Feng Shui Podcast

I just added a new module to my Squidoo lens. Its a feed from Google Blog Search for “residential architecture”. I launched it and immediately found something worthwhile. I thought I would share it with you here. Enjoy.

Podcast: Feng Shui for Residential Architecture

I’ve Awakened the Kitchen Giants

If you haven’t been keeping up with the skirmish over at The Kitchen Designer blog, be sure to check it out. It’s a great conversation/argument (in a good way) about the interrelationship between residential architects and kitchen designers.

The conversation is also spreading across the blogosphere. See what Peggy Deras, CKD, CID has to say over at Kitchen-Exchange.

“Architorture”

“Architorture”

It’s a term that architects and students of architecture know all too well. It refers to the years of grewling hours; designing, developing, stressing, not sleeping, presenting, being ruthlessly criticized and ultimately (if you are good enough) surviving architecture school.

Now, its the subject of a upcoming film.

From the Architecture Film website:

Architorture is a documentary that captures five diverse students in a single studio at one university throughout the entirety of their thesis project. The film will convey a mere sliver of time, wholly representative of the experience to create a student’s paramount work. The footage will illustrate the range of emotions and process of this extremely intense period at the conclusion of an academic career. It is our goal for the documentary to possess educational, entertaining, realistic and inspiring qualities in response to the dynamic world these students cross.

See more at ArchitortureFilm.com.

Thanks to Land+Living for bringing it to our attention.
